the hardest thing to do
would be to dis-believe that you were meant for each other
after trying so hard to believe that you were

the hardest thing to admit
was that it was all a mistake
and it shouldnt have gone anywhere than where it started

the easiest thing to wish for
was that you didnt know each other

yet when they hurt, when they cry
you just want to be by their side
and tell them you love them anyway, despite all this.
